That’s what happens when you generally get up around 4:30, spend the day riding around and don’t get a nap!

But that’s OK, we went to Mt Rainier National Park yesterday.
It was a nice ride through some cute littletowns.
In Morton, WA they have “Caboose Lodging”. I think this is a great idea!
This sign was funny because even Sirius XM radio kept losing its signal & they think you can tune in to an AM station!
(It was very weak & hard to hear)
We made it!
Saved another $30 w/my Sr Pass
River flowing with MT Rainier in the distance.
This is a pic of the map showing all the glaciers in the mountain. When you see white, smoky clouds in my pics it’s the cold coming off those glaciers.
You can kind of see the blue glacier in this pic.
I think we could see the mountain better from afar (like back in Ellensburg).
The higher we climbed, the less we saw. There were a lot of people , so we couldn’t park at the Visitor Center. We pulled over to look at the map & a Park Ranger pulled up, got out & asked Mr Charley if he was a Clemson Alumni! He was from Seneca & graduated from Clemson. Geez 🤦🏻♀️ Since Mr C graduated from Clemson’s Recreation & Parks Administration program, too; they started naming names (it’s a southern thing) and chit chatted until his radio called to him. Twenty year difference in age, thousands of miles away & they chatted like old friends.
My, my, my as I shake my head.
We moved on
Went through a couple of small tunnels
And weaved along the road. VERY ABRUPT EDGE!
Brave
The only wildlife we saw
The road below
One of the many waterfalls
It was a nice ride. Wish I could’ve gotten into a Visitor Center, but that’s OK. I’ll geta WA hat pin and TShirt somewhere while we’re here.
Back home, too late for a nap, but had some good down time and a cup of coffeeuntil dinner at Red Lobster. Mr C needed a night off from cooking after that drive!
Have a good one everybody, we’re sure trying to.
We Clemson people are just plain good people! ❤️
