08/08/2019 Day 60 Columbia Riverfront RV Woodland WA

Today will be our first full day here. We got in early yesterday afternoon & spent the rest of the day exploring the place. It’s nice! BIG enough pull through site to actually unhook the truck, pull straight forward & park! It’s all gravel, with our own little patch of yard. The best part is water view of the Columbia River (state line between OR & WA). No whales, but cargo ships& boats floating past.

I thought we’d get to watch a nice sunset, but the clouds move in & it gets cold & windy!

The weather over here is weird! It starts out cold (usually rainy, gloomy), by noon the sun pops out (if you’re lucky) then by 3 or 4 it’s warm enough to actually wear a short sleeve, but by 5 or 6 the clouds come, the winds blow & it’s cold again!

Today we’re going to take a drive on Hwy30 the Historic Columbia River Hwy & Waterfalls.

The lady in the office told me to stop at every place marked along the way to get the best views. Multnomah Falls is on the list, so hopefully we’ll get some good pics.

Of course, with this crazy weather, we never know when we can leave, as we wait on daylight & sunshine.

“It’s an adventure!”

Have a good one everybody, we’re sure trying to.
