And to think back when I had to get up for work I hit that snooze button at least 3 times after it went off at 5:30.
Since yesterday was so yucky, we didn’t do a trip into Seattle like we planned. I miss the Sunshine. I’m a FL baby, my body requires warmth & sunshine. I don’t mind the “cool” I just don’t do rainy very well.
We took a drive over to Fort Lewis to pick up a package Mr C was waiting on. I don’t know why they call it “Joint Base Lewis McChord” since they’re 5 miles apart on different sides of the Interstate, but they did.
Fort Lewis, named after Meriwether Lewis of the Lewis and Clark expedition, is Army.
Fort McChord, was named in honor of Colonel William Caldwell McChord, (1881–1937), Chief of the Training and Operations Division in HQ Army Air Corps.
I took some pics of tanks & amphibious vehicles on Fort Lewis; and of planes on Fort McChord, but I won’t post any. I’ll just say, it is an honor and blessing to have access to these military bases. Thank God for these men and women who have chosen to serve and protect our country. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Today looks pretty yucky out, too. Not sure what we’ll do once Mr C gets back from getting his oil changed. Until then, we’re warm, dry and safe.
Look what I saw on our walk yesterday. See that hornet nest!
Remember this:
Have a good one everybody, we’re sure trying to.
