But, oh what a drive here!
Hwy-191 through Apache & Navajo nation. It wasn’t a “bad” drive, the road was a bit “bumpy” is some spots, but for the most part it was nicely paved.
NO cell service for miles! 🥴
To top it off, the truck is not behaving very nice. Remember the “opening tailgate” issue? Well, they “fixed” a couple recalls, including some type of engine block heater coil; so now what happens? 🤷🏻♀️ Yep, when we go up hill, the gauge goes up past 223 degrees and the fan starts blowing to cool the engine. Mr Charley put some antifreeze in before we left, but that didn’t work. Since we’re in the middle of nowhere (Bluff, UT), we’ve made an appointment with the Ford place in Durango, which is our next stop.
Back to yesterday’s ride, here’s some pics of the awesome scenery (in spite of the truck).
And, yes there were horses ☺️
And, I was so amazed to see a river with water in it, I almost missed the burros!
We made it to Bluff, UT (the 15th state on this trip) will be here for only 2 nights (thank God). WiFi is sketchy, cell Ohio is 1 bar 3G or 5bars Extended 1x, so I’ll be lucky if I even get this posted. I missed the beautiful sunset last night (the wind is crazy here!), but hope to catch it tonight.
We’re in another time zone again & the sun hasn’t risen yet, but I’ll try to get out there and watch it, thanking the Lord for another day of life and for the beauty of His creation. And, for allowing me to see it ☺️.
Have a good one everybody, we’re sure trying to.
