One thing I love about Cody WY is the love of America and American values of honor and integrity. Another thing I noticed is there’s no “riff raff” on the streets, yet you rarely see a cop. You can walk downtown at night & feel safe. And, it’s clean. Not just the streets, but the roadways. I’ve never seen any litter or trash along any roads we’ve driven. No prison work crews picking it up either. It’s a beautiful place that I am so blessed to be able to visit.
We went to the rodeo last night. The last time we went was bullriding only, but tonight there was bronco riding, roping, barrel racing and all the cool stuff that makes a rodeo. I tried to take some pics, but it’s really hard to take them when your trying to watch the excitement.

First rider to make it 8 seconds
I wish I could remember names & stats but these are professional rodeo riders, meaning big bucks are in the winnings. The number 1 rider in the country didn’t make it to 8 seconds tonight, but his annual earnings were over 6 million dollars!
The clouds were moving in and lightning was on the distant horizon. Those metal bleacher seats were hard and cold as we sat in the stands freezing, we left early. Missed seeing the barrel racing (brings back fond memories), but we timed it right. The rain started and by the time we got home the thunder popped and the girls were happy to see their Daddy.
Today, we’re going to bypass the Cody Parade and just hang out in the campground. Dinner will be some of Jason’s awesome pulled pork.
Enjoy your 4th of July celebrations today.Remember our freedoms were and are not free.
Have a good one everybody, we’re sure trying to.
