09/24/2019 Day 107 Durango CO

Today Mr Charley has an appointment with Durango Ford to see why the truck is overheating when we pull the rig. I’m not saying “it’s a Ford”; I’m not saying every time he takes the truck in something “happens”. Oil change, broken oil pan bolt; rotate tires, forget to replace hub cap, mysterious tailgate issue caused by water can’t be figured out, but they “fixed” a recall for an engine block heater cable, and now, “all of a sudden” the truck starts overheating. All I’m saying is, “I love my Subaru & their service”. Enough of that, I’ll be getting some laundry done while Mr C deals with Ford.

Yesterday we did the Durango to Silverton train ride. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1KqhFgK8J1_n1ruzmFNMEIePEh0c-aHp0

Continuing in my “I’m not saying mood”, all I’m saying is, it was a LONG day. Who knew sitting on a train going 14 mph, for 3 1/2 hrs ONE WAY could be so tiring! When we finally got there, we did a quick walk around town to find a place to eat lunch, then took the early train back! Lord help them when it rains or snows up  there, because the roads are not paved! At an elevation of 9300+, guess paved roads are the least of their worries. It was a  cute little “old west” town. And, i got some pretty pics along the way ☺️

It was pretty but not as pretty as the beautiful sunrise we started out with

Like I said, it was a LONG day. The girls were very happy to see their daddy!
It’s been nice here in Durango. Once Mr C gets the truck fixed, we’ll have accomplished all we came for. Tomorrow (hopefully) will be a chill out day getting ready to leave Thursday.
It’s almost 5:00 am, guess I’ll get my 2nd cup and enjoy the quiet time before the day starts.
Have a good one everybody, we’re sure trying to.
