And drove to Meteor Crater, AZ about 20 miles from Winslow.
It was a pretty drive down I-40 and since the campground is so close to the Meteor Crater site, we took a drive 6 miles down the road. Well, we had the girls with us and couldn’t take them up to the site, so we’ll try again later today and leave them home.
But........we did take the drive to Winslow, just to “stand on the corner” where one of our favorite Eagles song mentioned.
(Yeah, you’re singing it) π
Would you believe there’s a Foundation
And.........an annual Festival
(Nicole it’s on your birthday weekend!)
And, here it is:
This is the mural painted on the wall. Seethe “girl in the flatbed Ford” πππ
And here he is “standing on the corner”
And, another guy checkin’ her out π€¦π»♀️
And across the street π€·π»♀️
And.....there ya go π€·π»♀️
I think when we drove to Luckenback, TX
lookin’ for Waylon & Willie may have been a bit more interesting, but.....we did it and were happy to be “on the road again” ππ
Heading back we passed the old abandoned Meteor City
And the day ended with a beautiful sunset.
Happy and Blessed ☺️
Special unspoken prayer requests for those prayer warriors reading this.
Hugs and love to family and friends.
Have a good one everybody, we’re sure trying to.
