07/27/2019 Day 48 Elma WA

We got through that Seattle/Tacoma rush  hour traffic mess easier than we thought and actually checked in here before noon yesterday. Elma RV Park is clean, gravel site is level, but the “yard” is small. We were nicely greeted with homemade chocolate chip cookies (2 big ones each!), so I’m sure we can handle it for 2 nights.

We do have a problem, though. When Mr C was hooking up the lines, he saw the left rear tire on the camper is splitting. He made some calls & found a place (somewhere) that has one in stock. So, guess where we’re going this morning! Although they’re relatively knew (about 4yrs old) they’ve been to AK and back, a few SC/FL trips back & forth and now add about 6,000 more miles.  So, I guess it’s time.

The low DEF light came on, so took a little drive around Elma to find the auto parts store yesterday. Cute little town, not a lot there but they do have a nice looking family restaurant called the Rusty Tractor, so we’ll see how it is tonight, to give Mr C a break.
