Believe it or not, growing up in Miami, FL we rode horses all the time. Family friends had horses & allowed us to ride in exchange for mucking the stalls. As my brothers got older (and crazier) they started riding broncos and bulls. I love rodeos because of them. Here in Cody, WY they have rodeos every night through the season, but this year is the 100th anniversary of the Cody Stampede, and we have tickets!!!
So you know what tomorrow’s post will have.
Yesterday we rode the Southfork Rd. Last time we were here, we saw this road that looked like it went up and around the mountain (like Skyline Dr in CO) so we tookit. It’s a beautiful, long drive that skirts along the river and the backside of the mountain pass we traveled to Yellowstone. It turns into a dirt road and gets a little rough, but the scenery & wildlife were awesome!
We came across a grassy area by the river where literally dozens of elk were resting! I downloaded some pics to show you
So, we thought we’d try our luck again. Also, this area is the winter ground for big horn sheep!
Well, once again road construction (although necessary) really messed with the drive. They had the road so full of equipment there’s no way any wildlife would be around. It is a National Forest and WY really has nice State Parks & Campgrounds, but......
Anyway, the drive was still nice, here’s some pics

God Bless America
Lots of ranches
And some Bambi’s

The backside of Bill Cody Reservoir & Dam (we drove on the other side to Yellowstone yesterday)
I love “Wowoming”! It’s one of the most beautiful places in our country. We are so blessed to see it.
Have a good one everybody, we’re sure trying to.
