08/19/2019 Day 71 Beale AFB Marysville CA

Here we are, still in CA, waiting for tomorrow and Mr Charley’s appointment at the Ford dealer.

This is a good time to reflect on some of the interesting things we’ve seen in this trip. Besides all the wild blackberries in WA & OR, I was amazed at the various crops.

Fields of different grasses:
Tall Fescue
Annual ryegrass
Perennial ryegrass
Crop cover

(Sometimes they have signs posted in the fences)
Groves  of different trees:
Hazelnut
Almond
Walnut
Peaches
Plums
Apricots

Have you ever heard of Meadow Foam? Me either, but there was fields of that, too.

And, lots of vineyards & wineries.

There was also fields of hemp. The uses are unlimited!

The other thing I’ve seen a lot of is homeless communities.  Driving down the road, nestled on the sides, are tents and tarps of people living there. Over the walls, behind the apartments and shopping centers, in the woods and trees in open site from the highway. It’s sad, but it also makes me mad. No one should live that way in America! And, we shouldn’t tolerate it. It’s sad and depressing, but by the Grace of God, could’ve been me, more than once. That’s all I’m going to say about that ☹️

Today looks like it will be another sunny and clear day, with a high of 90.

So we’ll take a little ride (or not) and look out at our surroundings, and marvel at this awesome country we’re blessed to live in.

Have a good one everybody, we’re sure trying to.
