07/11/2019 Day 32 in St Regis MT

We had such a time trying to make reservations on the way to WA, that we broke up the days making our way to Fort McChord in Tacoma.  That’s why we’re spending 2 nights here in St Regis.

This is a beautiful campground (over 160 acres), sites are nice, graveled with large grassy yard, firepit & picnic table. There are numerous walking trails in which they have put “tree faces”. They give you a list of the “faces” and if you find them all & post pics you’ll a free night. They also have hidden treasure chests for a treasure hunt (if you can figure out the clues).
We found a couple of tree faces as we walked the girls, but we didn’t venture too far into the woods.

There’s lots of wildflowers, including my favorite, daisies

Heres some pics of the campground as we drive in.
This is the site of the historic mining camp & original cabin. It’s a pretty cool story of how “The Nugget” came to be.

Today we’ll take a drive around town & try to find a nice scenic ride.

Have a good one everybody, we’re sure trying to
