07/25/2019 Day 46 Whidbey Island Naval Air Station in Oak Harbor WA

I’m not sure what we’ll do today. Right now, it’s 4:00 am, I’ve been up for an hour & fixing to get my second cup of coffee.
This seems to be the norm lately, I don’t know if my body clock thinks I’m still in EST time zone, or if this is part of getting older.

We’re both relieved we have our reservations made through Labor Day, and Mr C has his eye shot appointments for August & September, so we can rest easy now.

We’re right on Puget Sound and until the tides turn and the sun comes out to burn off the foggy cold, I’ll sip my coffee & try to gather my thoughts to write this blog.

The coolest thing I saw yesterday was an eagle flying overhead with something in his talons! When I say “overhead” I mean like it flew out around the back of the camper and I could see the wide wing span and bright white head! By the time my brain computed what it was, it flew into the trees. Then, a second one came flying by after it! We saw eagles when we were in AK, but I never saw one swoop by so low and close to me! No pics, but I keep watching that movie clip in my head and I am still amazed! If I can see some whales out there that would just be the grand finale of our time here.

Here’s some pics from our “backyard” yesterday (it was a gorgeous day)

That’s a bunch of birds riding a log out there (thought it was a whale😂)

I do miss the beautiful sunrise back home, but thankfully, the sunsets here are making up for it. I have a few pics, but they don’t do justice to the true beauty of it. It’s cold & windy out there, so I take pics through the window

What an Artist! No matter how many sunsets I see, no two are ever alike. Another “thank You, Lord” day.

Have a good one everybody, we’re sure trying to.
