07/20/2019 Day 41 Tacoma WA

The sun actually came out & stayed out for awhile, so we took a drive to Seattle.
(High got up to 68)
I was more excited by the nice weather than the congested, crazy mess of Seattle.
I got some pics, but let me tell you, this country girl couldn’t stand living here anymore than I could handle living in Miami again. What a mess!
I thought WA State was supposed to be all “earthy & innovative” (Starbucks, Microsoft, etc) but that’s not what I saw. Yes, there’s lots of cool architectural buildings and lots of construction going on, but the congestion (of people & cars) takes away from any positives. The smoke stacks keep any view of the water in a cloudy haze  If I had to face the nonstop “rush hour all day long” traffic to & from work everyday, I’d have to find me another job.

I did see some cool buildings

And, I saw the “needle”

I’m not sure if this is supposed to be art or if it’s a catcher for blowing tree limbs 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😂😂

Like I said, lots of construction going on.
There were two more of those cranes across the street in different building sites and plenty more!

This was the majority of the ride, bumper to bumper mess

If we hadn’t gone to so much trouble making reservations for the rest of our stay in WA, we would be happy to get to OR. So far, WA isn’t what I thought it would be. Hoping the rest of our “visit” will be a little more exciting & enjoyable. Only time will tell.

On a lighter note, here’s a pic of “the girls” in their new “necklaces”.
Cheyenne’s is red, Sadie’s is “coral”  (as close to orange we could find)
