08/20/2019 Day 72 Beale AFB Marysville CA

Today is my 64th birthday! Only one more year to Medicare!
Thanks for all the Happy Birthday wishes everyone !  ☺️ I’m blessed beyond measure.

We’re still here in CA, but planning on leaving early in the morning instead of Friday, like originally planned. There is absolutely NOTHING around here 🀷🏻‍♀️.
Yesterday we drove to the Ford place in Yuba City, so Mr C could see where he needs to take the truck this morning. On the way there, I Googled if there was a Ford recall or anything on the tailgate coming open. Well, sure enough,  NHTSA opened an investigation and Ford issued a Technical Issue Bulletin:

2017 F-Super Duty 6.7-liter: “Inspect connectors and replace the wire harnesses and include the time to remove/install the fuel and reductant tanks and to replace one of the female side connectors.”
The issue seems to be with an electrical connection that affects the operation of the tailgate release and the rear camera. There is no official recall for this issue, but Super Duty models manufactured before June 7, 2017 may be affected.
So, it looks like they have to remove the fuel tank to fix it! Well, we just filled up 😟 there ain’t no way we can do that! Mr C talked to the guy and we think we can unhook the fuse to the tailgate opener when we’re traveling and plug it back in when we land. The service guy thought that made sense, so he changed the appointment for an oil change. If the Tech agrees with the plan, we’ll have it checked in Vegas, since we’ll be there for a few weeks.  It’s an adventure!
In the meantime, today is “getting ready to leave tomorrow!” day; meaning laundry & clean up. 🀷🏻‍♀️πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Special love and prayers to all my babies on their first day of school. (It used to be my best birthday present when mine went back πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)
My great granddaughter, Braelyn starts K5 ☺️
My granddaughter, Rhythm starts her last year of middle school ☺️ (Well, next week)
My grandson, Bryson starts college☺️
My granddaughter, Jordan starts her last year of college ☺️
I’m so proud of my girls for raising such awesome kids. ☺️
I love my babies❤️. The best “birth day” gifts ever!

I guess we all need to learn to “Embrace Change”
