06/11/2019 Day 2 Tween the Lakes RV Park-KY

We left Heiskell, TN this morning headed to Grand Rivers, KY. Although Mr Charley likes to keep the driving to about 300 miles & no more than 5 hours, we’ve found even leaving at 7am with good weather & not so bad traffic, we get in around 12:30ish. Almost too early, but it does allow us to set up & rest for the rest of the day. We’ll do this for a few more days so we can get back in “Full-time” mode. Driving easy & resting, so we can enjoy the ride. It’s not just a destination, it’s the journey, too.

The weather has been nice! A little chilly this morning (mid 50s) so Mr C kicked on the heat to get the chill out. Also, the power in the campground was out for a while, so we had to wait a bit before we could have coffee. We did have a coffee pot we could put on the stove, but I already had the BUN ready to go so we just waited. (I snuggled with the girls & went back to sleep)

Jeans & boots today, on the road by 7 & cruising along. For those of you who know me, I’m a sign reading Google Queen. If we pass a sign & the name sounds funky, I’ll Google it to see why they named it that.
For instance, did you know there is a Frozen Head State Park in TN?
There’s also a Falling Water River. Reckon there’s some cool waterfalls back there?
Yeah, Mr Charley ignores me, but every now & then I find out some pretty good info. Unfortunately, I have CRS & can’t remember it!

Then, there’s Nashville & all that traffic around it.

And then, there’s KY! Sunny, upper 70s & a Passport America $17 overnight site with concrete pad & not far off the interstate.

I’m OK trying to write this blog (using my phone) & I can upload some pics, but I think it’s posting doubles (probably because I’m hitting it too many times). Bear with me, I’m retired from the techno world.
Life is good! Thank You, Lord.
