It’s Sunday and we’re in Amarillo, TX.
It’s Labor Day weekend and we’ll be here until Tuesday. But…… we’ve made a change in our plans. This was the temperature today:
Thank God for 2 A/C’s, a small fan and sunscreens on the windows! There’s a breeze, so it makes it “tolerable”, but the girls are constantly looking for shade when I take them out. So, instead of heading further South, to Corpus Christi, we’ll be heading East towards home. (OK, AR, TN, NC then SC). Mr C’s breathing is a bit better since we’ve lowered our altitude, but his tooth is still hurting him, so SC is the place to be.
So, we spent the day plotting and planning our route, cancelling reservations and making new ones. We’ll be home about a week and a half earlier than planned. But that’s OK.
I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to travel this way, I can’t complain. And, I’ll be home early enough to help my granddaughter & her hubby get their new shop open.
