It’s Wednesday and we’re heading to KY! It’s also the first day of summer and it’s raining!
We spent yesterday driving to Gatlinburg and Cherokee. But…..on the way, we had to take a Waypoint to go by Dollywood, so I could at least get a picture of the sign.
I originally scheduled this stop to look into Dollywood and see if it might be a good place for a “Family Vacation” next year. My great-granddaughter, Braelyn is turning 10 and my youngest granddaughter, Rhythm is graduating high school and I thought it would be a nice “getaway” for my sweet little family. But, the cost is way more than I can foot and my babies are all so busy with their lives there’s no way I can try to put it all together. So, our annual Christmas get together will just have to do. I treasure that weekend with ALL my babies together at ONE TIME more than anyone can imagine.
So next time we head out, Nashville will be the TN stop!

It started out dreary rain, then the sun came out.
Didn’t see any wildlife unless you count the crowds of people in downtown Gatlinburg. Ugh!
I sure hope Clayton, GA doesn’t turn into this mess.
Back home in time for Mr C and the girls to nap.
Tonight, dinner out at so Mr C can get his fill of good southern cooking before we head North.
