It’s Saturday and we’re in MINNESOTA !
We’re having a great time with Clonia and Dan. We’ve met all kinds of nice folks (it’s like hanging out with our “snowbirds” in FL. The weather is hot to them, but we love it! And, yesterday it was busy with a lot of “weekend warriors” coming in.
I’ll have to get some pictures of the “ice fishing campers” that are here. I thought they looked like one of those little “coffee shop trailers” you see on the corner, but Clonia said they were used for “ice fishing” in the winter & camping in the summer! Inside they have a/c, heat, kitchenette, etc. AND, a panel opens in the floor with holes in it for drilling into the frozen lake for fishing!
We had a stressful morning, tho. Mr C ordered a “GoPro” from Amazon we did everything to make it work. (He even called GoPro customer service) and long story short, they said it sounds like it’s “defective” and to return it. No problem, went on Amazon to hit return and the only option they had was to send a UPS driver here to pick it up. Well, I went up to the office to see if that would be OK with them & they said “no, we’ve never had a UPS pickup before”. Went back on Amazon customer service, that’s the only option available for that item, they said don’t worry about returning and they’ll refund the amount! All that stress (a couple of hours trying to get through to people) and then “don’t worry about it, we’ll refund your money”! I love Amazon, but sometimes I don’t get it.
Then after all that, I was in the kitchen and my elbow knocked the coffee pot on the floor and it broke! I mean a GLASS coffee pot that BROKE into a million pieces! Ugh!!!! Got it all up as I was kicking myself and apologizing to Mr C. So, guess who had a “replacement” coffee pot for his Bunn coffee maker? You guessed it, AMAZON! So, we got that ordered and it will be delivered at our Cody, Wy. Campground next week. (We still have a couple stops in ND before we get there).

On a good note, I got the laundry done before all that mess! 4 washers/4 dryers, $1.75 each, they ALL worked AND……a change machine that worked!!!!
But…..there was a happy ending to our crazy day! We went out to dinner with Clonia & Dan (it’s their 39th anniversary) to the little Bar/Grill up the road. Had some great wings! (They give you the sauce on the side & you dip your own). They also had a meat raffle. You buys tickets ($1 each) and if they call your number, you win a pack of meat! We won a pack of T-Bone steaks! (Can’t beat that for $1). Clonia won twice!!! A 3 pack of sirloin steaks AND a “breakfast pack” (a dozen eggs, lb of bacon & sausage). I told her we have “turkey shoots” in the South. (Best shot wins the meat) but I think I like this raffle thing better.
And to end a great night, check out this ORANGE BALL of a Sunset!
Would you believe that’s what this mornings sunrise looked like, too!
We’ve been so blessed with safe travels and good weather. But most importantly, good friends along the way.
Have a good one everybody.
PS: I almost forgot, I heard from my #1 granddaughter, Jordan as they get closer to opening their new shop “Taylor Made”. Here’s their new T-Shirt designs:

Needless to say I am so PROUD of them!
