It’s Wednesday and we’re in Cody, WY! And….. some of our babies are here!

Since we had such a long drive Monday, we all decided to give us “old folks” a break and let the kids do something local, so they went horseback riding up the mountain. I’m afraid I don’t have any pics since I didn’t go, but I will get some from Nicole and publish them later.

After they got back & cleaned up from their ride, they went back downtown to shop since a lot of the shops were closed Sunday when they initially went. We met up at the Irma Hotel & Restaurant for “happy hour”, dinner and the evening gunfight show. I’m sorry to say, this was the “cheesiest” show ever. It’s sad, there’s a handful of old fellas and one lady trying to keep it all going. They apologized they were “short” of help and were trying to handle everything. I try to look for the best in everything, but it’s hard when you know how good something was/could be but only a handful of good folks try to keep it going. (Kinda like our country, but that’s another story).
Oh well, enough of that. The kids seem to be having a good time and that’s all that matters. Today, we’re heading back to Yellowstone to hit the Lower Loop. Old Faithful, geysers and the painted pots. It’s gonna be another long one, but totally worth it!

The swelling on my foot has gone down. It’s still bruised, but it’s feeling better. I’m trying to keep arnica gel and elastic bandage (my normal routine for my bum ankle) I did order a walking “boot” from Amazon to help give my ankle a little more support. It’s supposed to be lightweight, so I’m hoping it’ll take the strain off my ankle and not get my nerve damage aggravated. (I’ve seen a few chiropractor offices here, but no acupuncture).

Have a good one everybody!
