It’s Wednesday and we’ve left Colorado Springs, CO and heading to Grand Junction, CO!
What a ride! We left around 6:00 am (daylight) and took I25-N to get on CO-470 (to avoid Denver mess). We made it over to I70W! I can’t tell you how beautiful the drive was, especially since we drove up around and through some of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Mr Charley did a great job maneuvering the uphill/downhill climb. And, as Mr Charley says “God I love that engine brake”. Here’s a pic of our last Colorado Springs sunrise
And here’s a bunch of pics of our ride:

Our previous trips here we had driven through the Eisenhower Tunnel, and Breckinridge and Vale, but this trip brought us through the Glenwood Canyon. (I posted a little video in Facebook), so here’s some pics. Glenwood Canyon is a rugged scenic 12.5 mi canyon in western Colorado in the United States. Its walls climb as high as 1,300 feet above the Colorado River. It is the largest such canyon on the Upper Colorado.

I can’t post them all, and my unedited pics do not do it justice, but I will post some pics of the beautiful blue sky and fluffy clouds:

The altitude is about 4,450 feet here so we’re all breathing much better. I’ll leave you with this:

Have a good one everybody.
