It’s Tuesday and we’re heading to Elkhart, IN! It’s been a nice time in KY, but it’s time to move on as we get closer to our goal; visiting our last 3 states.
It’s about 327 miles to the Elkhart RV Campground , so I’ve got our “picnic” stuff stored in the easy to access cabinet. When we travel, we leave early, stop for a picnic lunch and arrive at our next destination early afternoon (around 1 or 2). That gives us a chance to “land”, get set up and rest long before “happy hour”.
I checked the weather report for Elkhart and it looks like the Air Quality is bad as a result of the Canadian wildfires. Years back in Montana we skirted around their wildfires and it was NOT fun! Say a little prayer for Mr Charley, he’s still suffering from that Covid shortness of breath. It comes on out of nowhere, and takes a minute or two for him to catch his breath. (His smoking doesn’t help).
Tomorrow we’re scheduled for the Grand Design tour. Found out some of our friends from FL campground will be there too!
We’ll be in IN for three nights, then Friday we head to Michigan! So, hang with us and we’ll see what we can see. Let’s hope there’s not too many idiots on the road. (God Bless Truckers!)
