It’s Wednesday and we’re in Elkhart, IN! Of course when you’re retired “everyday is Saturday except Sunday”!
What a drive it was to get here yesterday! We got stuck in LOTS of bumper to bumper road construction messes, which added about an hour and a half to our ETA! So we were all whipped when we finally got here. There was a smoky haze all the way here, but luckily it wasn’t so thick we couldn’t see. And, there’s just a slight smoky smell (nothing like back in Montana when we kept skirting around their wildfires) Look at the Air Quality in Elkhart!
Anyway, I’m making sure Mr C keeps that inhaler handy! Here’s some pics of our ride here:
Google this👆👆it’s interesting how it got its name.
See the smoky haze ahead👆
It amazes me how many states have the same city names. Did you know there’s a Kokomo, IN. Bunker Hill, IN. Peru, IN. Miami, IN. And a whole bunch more!
Mr C remembered The Beach Boys song about Kokomo, but it wasn’t in IN! LOL! Check this out!👇 Yes, Tree Tower!
You’ll have to Google the whole story

The EEL River! EWwwww! River of Snake Fish!
I love the way they do the street names:
In Milan, IN they have “The Milan ‘54 Museum” to commemorate the basketball state championship back in 1954! I love it!
You know how I love signs and bumper stickers, check this out LOL! “Got to Go”!!!!
Mexico, IN
Twelve Mile, IN
Denver, IN
Only 38 miles to Niles, MI (LOL Couldn’t help myself)
We stopped at this spot for lunch:(When I first looked I thought it was a real horse!)
We finally got to Elkhart Campground around 2:30 ish. We left at 7:00 am; (took 30 minutes to pack up and head out!) Woke up at 4:30 am (don’t ask why, we’re just crazy)

Today, we’re going to tour the Grand Design Factory, then dinner out with friends.
Have a good one everybody.
