It’s Monday in TN. Woke up to gentle rain falling, and actually slept in til almost 6:00 am!!! (We’re usually up no later than 5:30 )
Yesterday was another beautiful day, and since we’ve rested up, we decided to take a drive. We drove the scenic Cades Cove Loop. What a beautiful drive! (Except for the crazies out there)
Anyone with any common courtesy would read the signs and pull over OFF the road at the proper pull-offs. But, nope they see something and STOP in the road to take pictures or get out to take a better picture. The Cades Cove Loop is ONE LANE, ONE WAY! So, sitting in bumper to bumper traffic in the backwoods with NO CELL SERVICE could really get someone’s blood pressure up! But not us, we smile, shake our head and pray it won’t be that bad in Yellowstone next month when the kids visit.
On the positive side, it sure is pretty up here.
We did see a bear, some deer and lots of wild turkeys. But….since we’re courteous drivers, we didn’t stop traffic to get a picture.
On our way back we came back through GATLINBURG. I saw this at the intersection to Dollywood Drive. Isn’t it pretty!
Check this car out! I guess they’ve been everywhere too!
Got back, ate our little picnic lunch I had packed and while Mr C and the girls took a nap, I went to the laundromat. (I wish I could nap)
Ended the night with a Mr C grilled steak. Yumm!!
