08/01/2023 - Day 47 Colorado Springs, CO USAF ACADEMY PEREGRINE PINES FAMCAMP

It’s Tuesday and we’re in Colorado Springs, CO! Since I had such a stressful time yesterday worrying about my wallet, I failed to post some of the pics I took heading out of Cheyenne, WY into CO. (Even though I try real hard not to fly anymore, I did like this pic)

Here’s some pics leaving the Terry Bison Ranch Campground. We’ve stayed overnight before (it’s a Passport America place), but……,this weekend was Cheyenne Frontier Days, so we didn’t get the discount. Had we realized it, we would’ve rearranged our plans and looked into staying at the F.E.Warren AFB FamCamp. (We should’ve looked at our military base app before booking) Oh well, maybe next time. (I think we said that last time too). We spent today making a run to “the local Walmart”. Got to the checkout and found out they don’t do “plastic bags” (eye roll), so we had to buy their bags. (.80 cent a piece). (Eye roll). It’s amazing how much stuff you can fit in a bag. And….it’s more amazing how much stuff you can just carry out and not need a bag. LOL! (I’d hate to have to buy little plastic trash bags for the bathroom trash can) (EyE RoLL!)
Anyway, when we got back I went to the laundromat and got caught up with everything. Not sure what we’ll do tomorrow, we’re in Retired Full-Time mode, so who knows! 
Tonight, Mr C is making his world famous crockpot pinto beans, smoked sausage, sweet potatoes and skillet corn bread. Yummmmm!
