It’s Friday and we made it to MN!!! My 49th State! It’s taken 9 years for us to finally make it up here, but we made it. When I retired my “client”, Clonia has been bugging me to come up to MN and visit her and her husband Dan. Their “seasonal” home is in this beautiful Grand Casino RV Campground.
Once we got settled, the first thing I did was change into shorts and a T-shirt. The weather is beautiful, sunny and WARM! Clonia drove me around in her golf car (not cart) and we chatted like old friends catching up! Later we went over and she grilled us a wonderful steak dinner. I brought my Thermacells to keep the bugs at bay, but she had some little table fans that kept the flies away. Thank God they aren’t those biting black flies like in Alaska, just aggravating regular flies.
Our drive here wasn’t too bad, we left at 8:00 am heading to Duluth, MN. Mr Charley wanted to get on I-35 instead of maneuvering these US Highways. Well, Duluth was doing a lot of road construction, so it detoured us through downtown! It wasn’t too bad, Mr Charley is a pro; but we were happy when we turned the last curve and the overhead bridge was 13’9”. (The height of the camper is 13’5”). I-35 entrance ramp was just ahead. The rest of the drive was a piece of cake. Here’s some pics:

We drove straight across Wisconsin into Duluth, MN.

We were happy to make it here safe and sound by 12:30. Mr Charleys Amazon package was waiting for us, and hopefully mine will catch up to us from Sunset Bay in Mi. Today is laundry day, maybe the pool, but definitely WARM!
This is my new mantra:
Have a good one everybody.
