It’s Monday and we’re in the Upper Peninsula of MICHIGAN!
Guess what we watched yesterday!
Yep, NASCAR Chicago street race! The best part was when Busch wrecked into the wall of tires and had to get pulled out. LOL! I don’t like the Busch brothers (too mean and hateful for my taste). But anyway, it was a fun race to watch. Also watched golf, and Ricky Fowler won! (He hasn’t won a tournament in over 4 years so I was happy for him). Let me explain my “TV Watching”. I sit with my earbud on and an audiobook talking to me while I play on my Kindle. (I go through a book at least every other day). But I do occasionally look up and see what’s happening on TV. LOL!
It was a nice Sunday and I needed to get caught up on the laundry. This is the 3rd campground that’s had 3 top loading washers ($2.00) and 3 dryers ($1.00-1.25) but only 2 dryers worked. Bonus here! $1 dryers, but 1 of the 2 good ones continuously runs! So I only paid $1 and got the other one free! Thank You, Lord. We didn’t win the lottery (bought 1 in Indiana before we left), but I saved $$$$ on the dryers. (He never promised I’d be rich, He just promises to provide my needs).
We decided we’d wait until Wednesday to go to Mackinac Island, in the hopes of less crowd. I’ll have to do my homework on the ferry times and then what to do when we get there. Neither of us can do a lot of walking but I didn’t come this far not to go! (I gotta at least get a t shirt )
Debbie and her grandson are coming over for dinner. I’m sure she’s having a great visit with him. Some of our kids will be flying out to Wyoming in a few weeks so we can show them Yellowstone. I’m so excited!
That’s it for now. Smoky air is at bay, the sun is shining and we’re safe and so blessed to be able to do this.
