It’s Saturday and we’re in Amarillo, TX.

Poor Sadie looked like she was having a tough time walking. I was blaming the rocks (certainly not her weight), but realized her toe nails were longer than they should be. (Her nails grow really fast!) She’s pretty touchy about touching her feet, especially after she had her toe amputated last year; so I told Mr C we needed to find a vet or groomer to trim them. We found PetSmart does grooming! Who knew? We made the appointment, got them there and I wanted to let the girls “go pee pee” before we went inside, and since we were in a parking lot I was looking for some grass. Look what they have!

A “dog park” area in the parking lot! What a great idea!!!We dropped them off, and took a drive to Old Route 66 in Amarillo. I Google one thing and “see” something else. It’s kinda sad, driving through some of these old towns and then by the time I see “the sign”, we’ve already passed it! Oh well, it’s just a sign, which is just about all that’s left of some of these great old sights and towns. So, here’s my feeble pics of todays ride. Needless to say, I “Googled” the actual sign I was looking for, but I really did “physically” see it. LOL!
The girls looked clean, happy, shiny and Sadie was walking much better! I didn’t get a pic (smh), and of course the first thing she did when we got back was “waller” in the grass! We got back in time for football Saturday. And, my tribute to Jimmy Buffet’s passing today.
Have a good one everyone, you never know when you’ll take your last breath on this earth.
