It’s Tuesday and we’re in Colorado Springs, CO!

Tomorrow we’re heading out, so today is “”getting ready to get ready day”.
Yesterday, Mr Charley had his monthly eye shot. He’s been getting one every month for the last 10 years! No matter what state we’re in, we find a Retina Specialist so he can get his shot. Most places say “yes, Mr Dilworth we can do that for you”. Most places are run efficiently (believe it or not) and know exactly what he needs, schedule it and are ready for him when he gets there. There’s been a few times when he calls to schedule he’s had to explain what he needs because the “scheduler” doesn’t understand. There’s been a few times they try to schedule a “new patient” appointment before they can schedule his shot. And various other incidents, but in the long run, he gets his shot and we’re outta there! Yesterday he was scheduled, we showed up (early as usual). When we checked in, the receptionist said “did they tell you our appointments are 2 hours!” I’m like “what?!?! 2hours for a shot?!?” Then she says “we’re the only Retina Specialists in Colorado Springs”. It had been a month ago when we scheduled, but I didn’t think they were “the only ones”, (we try to find the closest to our RV). So we sat and waited, and waited. They finally called him back and I waited and waited. When he finally came out I could see he was “upset”. (Aka “PISSED”) He usually has a battle with the Dr that he doesn’t need BOTH eyes dilated, just his right eye. Well this guy was adament he was going to inject dye into his arm to watch his “blood flow through the back of his eye”. Mr C was ticked, but the Dr pretty much let him know he wasn’t doing his shot without doing this first. We had already been here over an hour and rather than just walk out, Mr C agreed. He numbed his eye, gave him his shot. And before he left, the Dr let him know his “pee” was going to be BRIGHT YELLOW” and it was! We marked this a “bad eye shot” so in case we are ever in Colorado Springs again we won’t go there! Next month we’ll be in Amarillo, TX. I Googled and there’s a few there, so Mr C will check it out and schedule it today.
Today we’ll stock up on supplies and start cleaning up so we can hit the road early in the morning. We want to miss the rush hour chaos through Denver.
That’s it for now.
Have a good one everybody.
