Goodbye Deer Lodge on to Great Falls MT

Dicks RV Park Great Falls, MT

We stayed in Deer Lodge for about 3 nights. The campground was fantastic! Nice sites, lots of grass for the girls to run & waller in; and a decent laundromat. The weather was nice so we spent a lot of time sitting outside in the fresh air & sunshine just relaxing and reading. We figured we’d take a little ride just to see what the town had to offer. There are a few things to “see”, but touring the old Montana State Prison wasn’t on our “gotta see” list, so we just drove around & headed back to the camper.
Here’s a few pics of our drive:
This is the old State Prison that’s now a museum

That’s about it in Deer Lodge. The campground was the nicest thing in the whole place.
We left this morning heading to Dicks RV in Great Falls. The weather was good, the horizon was still a bit smoky, but the scenery was beautiful. We took the ‘scenic’ route on US12 to connect us from I90 over to I15. All I can say, is it’s tough deciding between Montana, Wyoming & SD as the most beautiful, so I’ll these pics with you.
