Calgary, Alberta Canada

Calgary West Campground

After leaving Grand Prairie, we made our way to Calgary. Our scheduled time here is 4 nights (Sunday thru Wednesday), leaving early Thursday morning, 8/3.

Since Mr.Charley & Briggs had fixed the jacks issue, the only thing left to get fixed here is the broken windshields. Mr.Charley has an appointment with an auto glass repair on Tuesday (8/1).

When we got in Sunday, we got set up and took a nice nap. I think we’ve both been so stressed (Charley for the problems & me for Charley’s stress), we needed it!

The weather here is pretty nice and sunny, but there’s a smoky haze over the city and it seems to get worse in the evening. We even had some ash covering the tables outside,  but thankfully no fires nearby. I’m trying to spread  out laundry over the next few days and we did make a Walmart, but the Canada Walmart visits are “touch & go”; this was not a good one, so we just got the basics until we can get to Montana.

Our plan is to leave here early Thursday morning & head back over the border into Montana, hopefully avoiding any wildfires there. We’ve made reservations for a campground in Kalispell, so we can go to Glacier NP. I don’t know if they’ll issue me a “Sr. Pass” since I don’t turn 62 until the 20th, but it’s worth a try. If not, no biggie, I’ll still be seeing Glacier National Park!

Maybe if we get all our stuff done, we can actually spend some time touring Calgary tomorrow!

That’s it for now, have a good one everybody. We’re sure trying to.

RV Riding is getting it fixed and making plans to do it all again
