Mayday mayday !!

Well, today we were leaving to begin our Grand Adventure to Alaska, but........things don't always go as planned. 🤷‍♀️

The refrigerator totally died. 😩

Mr Charley has been weighing the options of fixing it (very expensive), replacing it (extremely expensive) or install a new residential size (mid-price, but lots of work).
In either case, we weren't leaving today.  After hours of researching (thank God for Google & RV forums) we went to look at residential refrigerator options (my preference) while our awesome RV Tech fella found out what we needed to fix it, how much it would cost, how long it would take to get the parts in & get it fixed.

And the verdict is........(drum roll, please)

"I've made my decision & I'm going to get the part ordered & get it fixed". So, that's what he's going to do. The part should be here in 2-3 days, & should be fixed by Friday (prayers going up & fingers crossed). If all goes well, we should be leaving this weekend, either Saturday or Sunday.

We're thankful it happened here before we left, so we had our local support team. And, even though we had to get rid of everything, we're thankful we hadn't  loaded it up yet, like we did the freezer.
We're also thankful we are blessed & able to afford to get it fixed. "Time & Money" not sure which one's going faster, but we're going to hang on for the ride as long as we're able. I'm sure there's a blessing in disguise, as well. Who knows?? Bad weather? Accident? The possibilities are endless, so we'll just scratch that hitch itch a little longer & when the time is right we'll be on the road again.

Our 2 week window to Montana is reduced to 1 week and a few days, but that's OK since Loosey Goosey means just that. Keep it loose. No scheduled times, reservations or commitments.
As our new Loosey Goosey friends, Bill & Jan Mains reminded me in their blog, that's why they don't make reservations either. You never know what's going to happen, but that's the beauty of full timing, whatever happens is part of the journey. As Mr Charley always reminds me "it's an adventure". Of course, the last few days, I've had to remind him ☺️👍

We'll keep you posted, until then count your blessings even when you can't see them.

RV riding is handling whatever comes your way, so you can keep on going on your way.

  1. Now you'll be able to boondock at the Circling of the Wagons in Quartzite and Winter Blast in Lake Havasau City. You might want to check into getting the ARP for your refrigerator. Paul is currently in Butte and we plan to stop and have the fan added to ours. We stayed an additional day here in La Pine when we found out you were held up a day.
