Dec 30,2020 Covid - New Years Eve Eve Gallstones!

I cannot believe this! I have gallstones! And....,,,it’s not like kidney stones, where you pass them and you’re done. Oh no.....I’m not that fortunate, the only way to get rid of them is to have your gallbladder taken out!
Let me back up and tell you what’s been happening. I’ve ALWAYS had a funny tummy. I don't do greasy or spicy because of it. Earlier in December I was in excruciating pain (upper right quadrant, pain radiating to back right shoulder) It was bad! After an hour or so it settled but I threw up quite a few times. It scared me (and Nicole) enough for me promise I’d find a Dr and have it checked out. I DON’T DO DOCTORS, but I respect the profession and know when it’s time to see one. I made an appointment and was lucky enough to get in by the next week. She checked me out, agreed it sounded like gallstones & sent me to have an ultrasound. That took another week. Then, it took another week to get the results, determining I do have gallstones. Well, I’ve beenfeeling ok by then, so I thought I must’ve passed them or whatever and we went on & did our Christmas on the 19th. Then Igot Covid & you know all about that. So, when I was feeling better last week and took the drive to look at houses (remember that?) I was hankering for a cheeseburger. Not just any cheese burger, I wanted a quarterpounder. I don’t know why, I just did. Mr Charley grills the best cheeseburgers and I knew I couldn’t go there, so I went to McDonalds drive through and got a quarterpounder (I should’ve gotten  a happy meal). Within the hour my tummy felt like a rock was sitting in the middle of it and it kept getting worse. By late in the afternoon I was in the bathroom wishing I had that Covid diarrhea just to give me some relief! It never came, but I did throw up and that felt a little better. The pain wasn’t excruciating, but it hurt and no matter what I did that rock wouldn’t get off my tummy! My homeopathic aroma therapy heated bean bag and some hot tea soothed it  enough so I could lay down and try to rest. I stayed put until I threw up again. I spent an hour in there sitting on astool waiting for the puke to come. It brought a little relief but that rock in my chest didn’t ease up much. I went and laid back down and tried to rest. Sometime in the middle of the night I woke up, and puked again and it was the nastiest, throat burning, bile tasting, violent heaves ever. (Sorry, TMI). But it brought the relief from that rock in my stomach that I needed. When I woke the next morning I promised Nicole I would call the Dr and get her to get everything set up to get this thing out so Ican get on with my life! Bless Mr Charley’s heart, he calls me everyday to see if I need anything, both of usknowing there’s nothing he can do. I hatewe’re stuck here in SC, but we both know we wouldn’t be any better off in FL. Wedo miss our snowbird friends, but Covid has put a damper on that, too.  So, now I wait to hear back from the Dr to see what’s the next step. I am resolute if I have one more attack, I will go to the ER and let them do what they want with me. Covid hospital guidelines or not. I guess the New Year isn’t going to go as good as I hoped. I know the Lord hasn’t finished with me yet, He’s just trying to besure I keep my butt here with my babies for now. I’m OK with that, I’m blessed to have babies that love me and are self sufficient, able and willing to take care of me. Thank You, Lord, I know there’s so many that don’t have that.
