May 29,2020 COVID-19- They’re back in the streets again

The only time I do this blog is when Mr Charley & I travel. Since the coronavirus stopped the world, we put this years travel plans on hold.

We’ve been spending time with our babies. Just being able to hug them, sit and listen to them, watch them interact with their families has been more exciting and renewing than any roadtrip.

As the rest of the country “wakes up”, the unrest begins. As if there wasn’t enough chaos with Covid, now the rioters and looters are burning down businesses in Minneapolis.
A black man named George Floyd was being arrested after an employee at a grocery store called police to accuse him of trying to pass a counterfeit $20 bill. He died after pleading for help as a police officer used his knee on Floyd's neck to pin him -- unarmed and handcuffed -- to the ground. His death sparked outrage and protests across the country.

I’m not saying the police were right or wrong. I am not a judge. All I’m saying is protesting about injustice can be done without burning, looting and destroying businesses and property.

Even George Floyd’s family hasn’t asked for this.
Shame on us.
Humans haven’t learned one thing. As the World was healing through Covid-19, it only took days for humans to destroy it.

Forgive us, Lord. I don’t understand mankind, but I do know the difference between good & evil. I pray there is more good in the World than what the media is showing us. I know there has to be, for all our sake.

I will continue to look for the positiveand the good. I have to for my own sanity and survival.

Stay calm, stay safe, wash your hands and pray for our World.

Descriptiodied on May 25, 2020, after Derek Chauvin, a white Minneapolis police officer, knelt on Floyd's neck for at least seven minutes while he was handcuffed and lying facedown on the road, including around four minutes after Floyd stopped moving.
