We went out to eat last night!!!!!! We actually went INTO a restaurant and SAT down and ordered our meal!
Pico de Gallo, the little Mexican restaurant in town has reopened! It was sparkling clean, the tables were taped off (using safe social distanced Guidelines), the “open windowed” archways between walls were “clearly taped” closed, and the staff were wearing face masks. My chicken super burrito was EXCELLENT! And, the margarita was pretty good, too. (No, they haven’t gotten their liquor license yet, but the bartender creates a pretty good “wine margarita”).
Since we’re heading out this Friday, we’ve decided to give Mr Charley some cooking time off. Sunday we loaded our lawn chairs, ordered “take out” from Cedar River Seafood and sat in the parking lot to “dine out”.
So, we’ll be dining out for a few nights ❤️
God Bless the restaurants and so many other “essential” workers for working so hard to keep things going. We've missed you! We thank you ALL for taking care of us!!
Now that places are “reopening”, all the human bickering has heated up. It’s like no one has learned anything from this. Protesters are rallying for their freedom to go back to work and shop and live, while others are arguing as long as there are “asymptomatic” carriers we are not free to live. I saw this and thought it was well written and thoughtful.
My #1 nurse daughter agrees with my logic, I’m relatively healthy for my age, if I get it, my chances of survival are high. (I think we all had a taste of it earlier this year anyway). Since I donated plasma the other day, I’m trusting them to let me know if anything’s wrong. Either way, we’re heading home to see our babies. We got Mr Charley’s rig out of storage yesterday and started the process of getting it ready for his roadtrip back home to SC. I’ll be following in my car as I head to my babies.
Right or wrong, we’re doing what we feel is right for us and our kids.
Thank God for our health, our families and our freedom to think and choose and live!
God bless America in spite of those who want to destroy it.
Stay calm, stay safe, wash your hands and pray for our World
