It’s that time again 🥴The lovebugs are back.
As if the “caterpillars” back in March/April weren’t enough to deal with (along with the pandemic chaos) So, my philosophy for negativity is positivity. 🤷🏻♀️ Here’s a few tiny happy things to focus on:
Everyday brings new challenges. If we’ve learned anything in this mess, it should be that anything can happen.
Overnight, our whole world was shut down. Our store shelves were wiped out. The fear of an unknown virus was wiping out thousands! Worldwide, millions were infected. If that doesn’t make you wake up nothing will!
I always say it’s better to BE prepared than GET prepared. I don’t wait until the tank is empty before I fill up. I don’t wait until I use the last roll before I buy more toilet paper. My daddy used to say “you don’t know what it’s like to be cold & hungry”. I used to hate him, because we did know. My mama worked her butt off to take care of us after he left. I caught mama crying & pleading with God many a time to help her take care of her kids. I remember eating a can of corn for dinner because that’s all we had. Yes, I do know what it’s like. I’ve done the same thing trying to take care of my kids. There’s a lot of things I don’t understand, but one thing I do know is God is in control.
Some things we bring on ourselves because of our lifestyle choices. Some things are not. Nobody asks for bad things to happen, they just happen.
I am blessed and sometimes He has to knock me off my complacent highhorse to make me see it, but when I focus on the GOOD and POSITIVE things in my life, I can muster enough strength to get up & dig my way out. There’s ALWAYS a way out. We may need to “stay in” for awhile, lick our wounds and heal. We may need to cry and beg and pray for healing or understanding or whatever our burden is. But in the end, we need to suck it up and do what’s best for the situation.
Now as the World is trying to climb out of the “hell hole” pandemic all kinds of new situations arise. Some want to go back to work and some can’t. Some just want to hug their loved ones and can’t. Some want to go out to eat and some can’t. Some want to walk on the beach andsome can’t. Some have learned things through this and some haven’t. Some will suck it up and dig out & some will handle it differently.
We all handle things different ways, because in a moment things change. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye.....,
How we, as human beings handle this mess, I believe has a direct impact on how long our world will survive.
We can either learn and work together for the greater good, or we can keep bickering and finger point and continue to cause divisiveness in our country. It’s already starting (again). Some people never learn. 😥
I’ll continue to look for the positive and the blessings that come from this Even after the worse storms, the sunwill come out.
Even if the lovebugs are flying out there. This too, shall pass.
Stay calm, stay safe, wash your hands and pray for our World.
