What is more important, Freedom or Security? As I mentioned in yesterday’s blog, some of the Governors are really pushing some big limits on people’s freedoms.
Everyone has the right to freedom and security of the person, which includes the right (a) not to be deprived of freedom arbitrarily or without just cause; (b) not to be detained without trial; (c) to be free from all forms of violence from either public or private sources; (d) not to be tortured in any way.

Truth be told, right now everyone is scared, but we can’t stay hidden away forever. If we can go to the store & buy food, why can’t you buy garden seeds? If you can drive your car to the store, why can’t you drive to the parking lot at your church and listen to preaching? If you’re not sneezing, coughing or showing any symptoms, why do you HAVE TO wear a face mask?
Some states are hot spots, no doubt, but not all are.

Most of the CDC Guidelines are a common sense approach to human behavior. If you must sneeze or cough, do it in the sleeve of your elbow or in a Kleenex or hanky. (Shouldn’t we already be doing this?)
Wash your hands! After sneezing, coughing, blowing your nose, going to the bathroom, etc. (Again, shouldn’t we already be doing this?)
I guess my Mama taught me well. We were taught to be respectful of elders & others, no matter their race or creed.
Our President understands the longer we stay home, the longer the country stays shut down, the longer people are out of work, the more FREEDOM we lose.
And, to AMERICANS, FREEDOM is more important that “SECURITY”. (At least to me). I vote for leaders to keep our country secure, so I can be free to live.
So, as the total number of new cases declines and more states are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, our President, along with his Task Force, Senators, Governors and other top leaders, has designed a Re-Open America Plan. It will be implemented by individual States Governors and overseen by the Federal Government in Phases. The goal is to get back to “normal”, but no one is sure what the new “normal” will be. We can only pray we keep our FREEDOM.
(We gave up a lot of freedom after 9/11)
So until then, we continue to pray, stay positive and thank all those who have keptus going this long.
Stay calm, stay safe, wash your hands and pray for our World
