Some days you just don't feel like doing anything, and other days you start thinking of all those little things niggling in the back of your mind. You know, that little mental check list of stuff that you need to do or get of never ending details too small to write down, but need to be done anyway.
Yesterday was one of those days. Mr Charley changed out the sewer hose, put the new bug screen on the truck and "tinkered" with some other "little things" that needed to be done. I did the laundry & cleaned up some stuff.
The refrigerator kept beeping that the door was open. We tried about everything we could think of & it just kept beeping. After recognizing if we turned it off & on, the beeping stopped, he realized it really isn't the door, it's the switch. So, he taped over the switch, and now the refrigerator "thinks" the door is shut, and there's no more beeping. It's the "little things". He will get it checked out when we get back so it will be fixed for our Alaska trip.
We ordered a Power Pressure Cooker XL. It's a new way of fast crock pot cooking that takes less power & time than the standard cooker. After driving all day, we thought it would make it easier to put a good meal together fast. He made a pot of pinto beans & smoked sausage last night to "test drive". Of course, he had to make cornbread too! It's the "little things".
It was a great meal, cooked in no time. Tonight will be pot roast. Yummmm
Not a lot planned for today, just enjoying the last week of our Florida winter. Soaking up some sun, reading, fishing, golf, hanging out with good folks, etc. Those "little things" that make living on the road so good. That's it for now.
RV riding is taking care of little things before they get too big
Lee got that pressure cooker for Christmas and loves it. Y'all need to get a salt block foo. Great for the grill 😍
ReplyDeleteOh good. He'll have to give your dad some good recipes 😉👍
DeleteI hate cooking,it's the decision of what to make that seems to be the hardest thing. Hope you can get the fridge checked out before leaving for Alaska. We have a galley tank handle that is stuck open. The local dealer said sometime in the middle of May to get it repaired. Looking forward to meeting up with you.
ReplyDeleteI don't like cooking either (did it for too many years ) Mr Charley does the cooking or we eat out. Looking forward to meeting up with you guy too! Can't wait ☺
