Our little road trip has come to an end. It’s time to head back to SC and then Sunday I’ll head back to FL.
It was a nice little get away. DC tours went exceptionally well, and the drives through the Shenandoah Valley were beautiful. And of course, nothing beats the Smoky Mountains (unless you drive out West).
Maneuvering hotels & cabs were something I haven’t had to do in many years, but we muffled through it. It amazes me the different prices for the same hotel room depending upon which site you choose. I do like the good ol’ days, when you can call (or go online) and book what you want without having to haggle thru to get the best price.
